Bedingungslos. Auch dir!

New Xiu Xiu song and video - “Dear God, I Hate Myself”.

No complains, you’re watching that video on your own risk by clicking “play”, okay!? Because “…Xiu Xiu’s new full-time member Angela Seo, who is credited for the record with “piano, synth, and drum programming,” although that leaves out the very special skill she’s showcasing in the video for ‘Dear God, I Hate Myself’: self-induced vomiting.

Get the MP3 here.

Gizmo! - watching Gremlins on TV for the first time since the mid-to-late eighties, I guess. Still cute.

“Walls” is the title of the 1st single out of the new Shout Out Louds album called “Work” hitting stores in europe on February 26th 2010. You can also download the song via the band’s website. Though what you might call a teaser, definitely worth it.

Get Well Soon - “5 Steps / 7 Swords”

New song online (download via City Slang) “about the 5 steps of dying and the non existing relationship to your own death”. Well then!

The new album “Vexations” comes in january 2010. “A concept album of sorts – ‘about the feeling of calmness, after managing vexations, the album isn’t about vexation itself, it’s about dealing with that vexation’ says its author Konstantin Gropper – its title is taken from a stirring piece of piano music by Erik Satie, first printed in 1949. That piece will become a sort of leit motif on the album. ‘Vexations’ is his second album, the follow up to 2007’s, Rest Now, Weary Head! Vexations marks another leap forward for Gropper, the classically trained singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Berlin, for it is a truly beautiful work, one that sparks the imagination with its poetic depth, classical montages and haunting panoramic mood mosaics.” (Info)

What you see above is the cover art of White Shit. There, ehm, epic song “Jim Morrison” is the Download Of The Day at RCRD LBL today, so I’ll copy what they’ve posted. Therefore you’ll have to visit their site to download because those guys don’t like their MP3s to be (again, ehm) linked.

“So much to love about White Shit–the above cover art; the fact that they have collectively played in Big Business, Karp, Monorchild, Wrangler Brutes, and the Murder City Devils; that their excellently scroungy new album, Sculpted Beef, is less than twenty minutes long; and that they call themselves White Shit, obviously. The LP’s out now as a vinyl only release through Dean Spunt (of No Age)’s Post Present Medium, but you can take home its lengthiest cut in MP3 form below. Also, we totally dare you to Google them.”

I always liked that song, “The Woods” (Download or just listen via HypeM) from 2008 by danish piece The Cartridge. It’s addictive steel drums make almost every day. Well, the other day that song came back to my mind stumbling upon this Remix by the Berliner Noise-“Urgestein” Alec Empire on Soundcloud. As good as the original, no noise but way more good time vibes in it. Even with no sun but grey clouds this will lighten your day too, I promise:

Cartridge - “The Woods (Buffetlibre Remix)” by alec_empire

Enjoy.
