Junip - “Always” (Official Video). Funny lessons in playing the air guitar. Directed by Andreas Nilsson.
Junip? “A cosmopolitan three piece from Gothenburg, Sweden – featuring Tobias Winterkorn (keyboards), Elias Araya (drums) and José González (vocals & guitar), the latter of whom you’ll be familiar with from his solo work – Junip have existed since 1999, maybe even 1998. It’s so long, frankly, that none of them are quite sure.”
José González: “Far Away”. Two weeks ago I got on touch with a proper video game for the first time in months/years: Red Dead Redemption. Good one. And then I discovered this video one day later when in the game “John Marston, the main character, first reaches Mexico, riding horseback along a dusty trail between cascading red cliffs and the San Luis River; definitely one of Red Dead’s most visually and sonically memorable moments” - with this song playing. Makes the whole experience even better. Typical Rockstar. (Stopped playing anyways. I’m getting old.)
