Believe it or not, this is a plan of action - I shower naked.

Internet Meme Movie Posters by Stefan Van Zoggel
You remember the memes, as they were mercilessly hammered into your head with a rusty pike, but...
I’d call this: essentiell. Not only when using one of the many Google services. Which is of course something you should consider, when you’re looking for the best of the better solutions out there aka Gmail, Maps, Docs, Chrome…
You Can Beat Google!
Go and try searching for »9999999..99999999999999999999999« in Google. (Take that, mighty know-it-all search engine wannabe giant!)
Google Voice Search
Have you ever tried Google Voice Search on your desktop computer? Probably not. I once did use it on my mobile phone with adresses (didn’t work, as it’s bad with the german language) or brands (worked pretty good). Being bored the other day I tried it via browser, of course, simply searching for my name: Uwe Viehmann. Yes, it’s not really an english one, so the results were at least some kind of… wtf.
Sigh.
OK GO did it again: Now with Google Chrome Experiment
Who else but OK GO? The band that got extreme coverage because of a number of great videos but (for sure) not because of their music, did it once again. Now with the help of Google and it’s Chrome Experiment department and Play With Chrome. Remember Arcade Fire and thewildernessdowntown.net?
It promotes a song called “All Is Not Lost” and has a kind of hidden Video Dance Messenger feature that allows users to enrich the video with a - bingo! - message. (Please figure out something better than I did.) The whole thing starts a bit boring but hang on, I think it’s worth the time. (Plus: The song doesn’t suck at all!)
Here is the trailer video:
Attention/Disclaimer:
We’re sorry, but this content was designed with the browser Google Chrome in mind. As a result, it may not work properly in your current browser. We recommend using Google Chrome.
Don’t even think that the recently improved Google Images Search makes this great idea obsolete! It’s much more fun when you’re not in a hurry - and some good waste of time even when you don’t look for something special.
“If you’ve ever answered a question with, ‘Google it’. Go fuck yourself.” - Kermit
Each day Google gives you a riddle you probably have to Google to solve it. A bizarre perpetual emotion machine.
I like today’s Doodle. It celebrates the 96th birthday of Les Paul. He died in 2009. Have fun playing around with it. (Note: This is about June 9th 2011 and just to be seen for 24h on google.com/.de/co.uk/et cetera. Just sayin’).
“As well as his guitar work, Les Paul experimented in his garage with innovative recording techniques like multitracking and tape delay. In keeping with this spirit of tinkering, those of you in the U.S. can click the black “compose” button to record your own 30-second track. Just strum the strings or trigger notes with the letters or numbers on your keyboards. Clicking the button again will display a link to share the songs you’ve made.”
There are already songs up on Youtube.
P.S.: Shame on you Google: the recording function seems to only work in the US of A! WTF?
“Today, we’re releasing +1 buttons to the whole web. As a result, you might start seeing +1 appear on sites large and small across the Internet.”
Remember the name Chris Milk? He was the director of the interactive Arcade Fire/Google collaboration video and now came up with another great web project: Rome “3 Dreams Of Black”. It’s a mixture between a music video, film, and video game – a project by Italian composer Daniele Luppi and Danger Mouse plus Jack White and Norah Jones. The idea: to navigate through a very strange dream – in this 3d tech showcase worth having a close look. Promise.
Introducing the Chromebook - the video
I really like the idea of working in the cloud only and therefore seeing the computer totally different. And I love the animations and the concept shown in this great promotional video for the Chromebook idea. But in the end, the fact that you are dependent on being online… not just online but being provided with fast internet access constantly (think watching videos, uploading graphics, etc.) is just not cool. It works in 80% of your beloved and favored wifi-neighborhoods and probably all areas with good 3G/4G reception via mobile, but having constant internet access on the train? Come on, no way. And what about data plans in foreign countries? What about watching a movie on your laptop in the alps? What about writers that want to move on some lonely island for their new book project?
I like the idea, love the video, but I am neither convinced nor hooked up. But I’m curious and sure it’s just a matter of time. -> more on TNW
