flickr tutorial: find users via url & shorten urls

when you are browsing sites like fffound, dropular or vi.sualize.us and you found a flickr url that looks like this flickr url scheme

http://farm{farm-id}.static.flickr.com/{server-id}/{photo-id}_{secret}.jpg
or
http://farm{farm-id}.static.flickr.com/{server-id}/{photo-id}_{secret}_[mstb].jpg
or
http://farm{farm-id}.static.flickr.com/{server-id}/{photo-id}_{o-secret}_o.(jpg|gif|png)

and you couldn’t find a link to the flickr user who uploaded the pic, here is the solution:

take the {photo-id} and go to http://flickr.com/photo.gne?id={photo-id}

this also works for flickr’s mobile version: http://m.flickr.com/photo.gne?id={photo-id}

if you want to see larger pics: http://flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id={photo-id}

(some flickr users don’t allow to see larger pics.)

now you found out whose pic this is und you want to tell anyone about this pic.

you need a short url for this pic!? create a new bookmark with your browser and use one of those javascript codes (i prefer the second one).
